The plane was flying from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow, but its flight was delayed 20 minutes after takeoff.
The Sukhoi Superjet passenger plane was forced to abort the flight and request an emergency landing. On Sunday, March 26, the Azimuth airline never flew to Moscow from Nizhny Novgorod – it gave an alarm 10 minutes after takeoff. This was reported by the publication Medusa.
In total, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 spent about 20 minutes in flight and landed safely. It was officially reported that the plane of Azimuth airline was flying without passengers, there were only five crew members on board. The cause of the air incident was not reported.
Only the previously released engines were installed on the SSJ100, as PowerJet stopped their production after the invasion of Ukraine. Currently, Russia is working on the creation of an engine that should be installed on the Superjet New, which should be a modification to the import replacement of the Superjet 100.
In Russia, they say that over time, Western liners will gradually be replaced by their own aircraft: Superjet New, MS-21 and others. However, these plans are not easy to implement due to sanctions. Experts note that it will take 5 to 10-12 years “to completely replace Western components with Russian technology.”
Recall that a military aircraft exploded during testing at the Aviastar aircraft factory in Ulyanovsk, Russia. Due to the incident, one person died.
Russia says it has lost 75 aircraft since the sanctions were imposed
