165 injured in Iran earthquake

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook Hoi An city and county. Its tremors were felt in neighboring large cities.

At least 165 people were injured in the earthquake in Iran. This was reported on Friday, March 24, by the Fars agency.

“As a result of today’s earthquake in Khoi, 165 people were injured in the cities of Khoi and Selmas,” said the head of West Azerbaijan province.

According to the Mehr news agency, 68 victims were taken to hospitals.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 shook the city and Hoi County. Its tremors were felt in the neighboring major cities of Urmi, the capital of West Azerbaijan Province, as well as Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan Province in northwestern Iran.

According to the mayor of Khoi, Zabihullo Kazemi, six Red Crescent teams were sent to the area to assess the damage.

It will be remembered that a strong earthquake occurred in Afghanistan and some neighboring countries.

It was also reported that two strong earthquakes occurred in Argentina.
