Terrifying video footage of military journalists from Bucha, previously unpublished, was shown on March 24 at a meeting with military journalist Yegor Dalievsky.
Dalievsky was the first of the media workers to get to Bucha, liberated from the invaders. His footage has spread all over the world. With him was a serviceman Ruslan Feschak, who participated in the liberation of the city.
The materials were recorded on April 2, 2022 in a newly liberated city.
The recording shows what the Russian military turned Bucha into: infrastructure and housing were destroyed, military equipment, mines and ammunition were smashed and abandoned, bodies were not removed. Local residents talk about mass graves and executions.
Video materials will help investigators of the Office of the Prosecutor General to collect evidence of war crimes of Russian troops. This is one of the first known videos from de-occupied Bucha.
My colleague Alexander Soloviy and I filmed for eight hours, all this material was transferred to the Office of the Prosecutor General. We also testified based on what we saw,” Dalievsky said during a press meeting at the Military Media Center.
During the press meeting, an excerpt from the documentary “The Effect of Presence”, dedicated to the work of military journalists in the hottest spots of the great war, was shown, as well as footage from the liberated Bucha, which has not yet been made public.
It is impossible to put into words what we saw. On Yabloneva Street, later called the “street of death”, dozens of people who had been shot at different times were lying; men tortured to death by Russians in the basement-torture room; graves near high-rise buildings… It’s hard to talk about it, it could only be recorded on video,” the journalist says.
