Ukraine actively cooperates with EU countries, as well as with Moldova, to jointly counter any attempt by Ukrainians to cross the border illegally.
The spokesman of the State Border Service, Andriy Demchenko, said that Ukrainians who crossed the border illegally will not receive refugee status in EU countries. He said this on the air of the telethon.
According to Demchenko, Ukraine is actively cooperating with EU countries, as well as with Moldova, to jointly counter any attempt by Ukrainians to cross the border illegally.
“Of course, some tried to immediately apply for refugee status, but I note that this is not a reason for Ukrainian citizens, such as violators, to be treated as refugees in the countries of the European Union,” said he.
It should be remembered that 136 evaders have been detained in Transcarpathia since the beginning of March.
As reported, a 23-year-old boy from Bukovina drowned while trying to illegally cross the border into Romania.
