The SBU announces the arrest of another assets of the wife of the notorious pro-Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, Oksana Marchenko, who is suspected of financing Russian occupational groups.
The total value of the seized assets is over UAH 440 million, the press center of the special service reports.
The decision of the court, adopted on the materials of the SBU, concerns 6.8% of the shares of PJSC “Electrometallurgical Plant “Dneprospetsstal” named after. A.M. Kuzmina in Zaporozhye, which Marchenko owns through three offshore companies.
This strategically important enterprise specializes in the industrial production of almost 1,000 types of steel and hardware, the SBU notes. – The arrest of assets will protect them from re-registration as nominees and in the future will allow them to be transferred in favor of our state.
Earlier, at the end of February, Marchenko’s property was also arrested for more than UAH 5.6 billion.
Investigators of the Security Service have already informed the figurant about the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing actions committed with the aim of forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power, changing the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine), the SBU notes. “Currently, an investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.
