All units of the Russian aggressors left the city of Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region. This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening briefing on Thursday, March 23.
“On March 22, 2023, all units of the occupying army stationed in the settlement of Novaya Kakhovka, Kherson region, left the city,” the report said.
It is indicated that before leaving this agreement, the Russians went beyond the nearest houses of the local population to earn money. They “confiscated” large quantities of household and electronic appliances, jewelry, clothing and mobile phones from the civilian population.
“Also, in some settlements of the temporarily occupied left bank part of the Kherson region, the occupiers began to search for citizens with a pro-Ukrainian position. To do this, they use lists of participants of the ATO, military pensioners and lists of people who served in the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine,” added the General Staff.
Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate announced one of the strategic goals of Ukraine’s counter-offensive, which depends on a number of factors.
Also, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that Western partner countries will help Ukraine launch a counter-offensive this spring.
