The Ukrainian military is doing everything to clear a 20-30 km zone on the left bank of the Kherson region from the Russian invaders. This was said on March 23 by the spokesperson of the Operational Command South Natalya Gumenyuk on the air of the national telethon.
“At the moment, we are trying to make the enemy feel our presence, our pressure. It is quite a difficult job and it is complicated by the fact that the enemy is constantly hiding behind civilians, trying to hide his units and the his equipment in the yard of local residents behind residential buildings”, – he said.
According to Gumenyuk, the work of the Defense Forces is quite effective. In particular, the number of attacks from Kinburn Spit was significantly reduced after the defeat of the supply point and storage of ammunition.
The spokesman of OK Yug noted that now the Russians do not have strong support, and even movement by land is difficult for them, because Ukrainian soldiers are trying to keep the isthmus that connects the mainland of the left bank of the Kherson region with the Kinburn Peninsula.
It will be recalled that on March 21, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian tank, two armored vehicles, two reconnaissance drones and an ammunition depot at Kinburn Spit in the south.
