Moldova recalls its representative in the Department of Economic Cooperation of the CIS Executive Committee. The corresponding decision was made on Wednesday, March 22, at a government meeting.
Teodor Yovu was recalled from the position of Deputy Director of the CIS Executive Committee, Head of the Economic Cooperation Department.
The decision will take effect on April 14. Yowu was appointed to this position in December 2020.
Earlier, the Moldovan Parliament recalled its representative in the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
Recall that in February, the head of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry announced the start of the process of withdrawal from several dozen agreements within the CIS. The country is a party to about 330 CIS agreements, which are no longer relevant.
