Anyone who questions NATO unity will be isolated within the community, said Manfred Weber, leader of the leading faction in the European Parliament.

The leader of the leading faction of the European Parliament – the European People’s Party (EPP) – Manfred Weber has warned that Turkey could expect secession from NATO if it blocks Finland and Sweden’s entry into the alliance. He said this on Sunday to the Funke media group.

“Anyone who questions NATO unity is isolated within the community,” Weber said. “If both countries want [вступить в НАТО], then part of it is Finland and Sweden, no questions asked. There is no reason to slow it down or hinder it, “he argued.

Recall that Turkish President Erdogan does not support Sweden and Finland’s entry into NATO.
