Parliamentarians recommended that the kingdom’s government expel an Israeli representative in response to the map scandal.
The Jordanian House of Representatives has voted to expel the Israeli ambassador to Amman. This was reported on March 22 by the Petra agency.
It was noted that the decision was made in connection with the version of the map of Israel, which was placed on the podium in a speech by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. The map includes, among other things, the territory of Jordan and the Palestinian areas.
Jordanian parliamentarians described Smotrich’s actions as evidence of an “arrogant attitude” on the part of the Israeli authorities, which “did not honor any international agreements.”
Remember, in addition to showing the scandalous map, the Israeli minister, in his speech on March 19 at a private event of the Jewish community in Paris, said that the Palestinian people do not exist.
As reported Correspondent.net, in early May last year, a scandal erupted over the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about anti-Semitic Jews. Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berl Lazar demanded a public apology from the politician.
Later, Israel said that Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized for the embarrassing remark in a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
