Germany supports some points in China’s “peace plan”, but the document does not clearly indicate the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
German Ambassador Anka Feldhusen said that Germany does not consider China’s document to end the war in Ukraine as a “peace plan”. He said this at a briefing in Kyiv on March 22, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“In our opinion, this Chinese document is not a ‘peace plan’. There is a peace plan, and this is, first of all, the resolution of the UN General Assembly, which was supported by 141 countries in New York on February 23, and these are the ten points of President Zelensky,” the ambassador said.
According to him, Germany supports some points in China’s “peace plan”, but the document does not clearly indicate the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
“We expect that China will call it not a conflict, but a war. And also that they want Russian troops to withdraw from the territory of Ukraine. This is the principle of territorial integrity,” said Feldhusen.
It will be remembered that in the quarter, China published a plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
The United States called China’s “peace plan” an attempt to stop the war in Ukraine.
