Rail links are a way to transport heavy weapons and personnel, and currently it is not possible to transfer through the station that connects the peninsula to the mainland.
Explosions in the temporarily occupied Dzhankoy in the north of Crimea led to serious damage to the junction station, its use is still impossible. This was stated by the head of the Joint Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalya Gumenyuk, on Radio Liberty.
“At the moment, the use (of the junction station – ed.) is impossible, and the chaos that is happening around this area of impact indicates that there is not yet enough decision on what to do with” happiness “, – said Gumenyuk.
He said that the invaders would try to restore the damaged as soon as possible, because direct rail communication was a way to transport heavy weapons and personnel. But the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to work, in particular, on fire control so that these efforts are in vain.
Gumenyuk emphasized that the junction station in Dzhankoy is one of the elements of the plan that precedes active actions. In particular, it is necessary to exhaust the logistics of the enemy.
Recall that on the night of March 20, at least eight explosions thundered near the Crimean city of Dzhankoy.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reported that Russian Caliber cruise missiles were destroyed in Crimea during their transportation by rail.
Later, Russian media reported that the railway station in Dzhankoy was badly damaged.
