The Verkhovna Rada adopted changes to the state budget, increasing spending by UAH 537 billion. 96.5% of this money will go to security and defense.
This was announced by the head of the Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Roksolana Pidlasa.
Draft law No. 9105 as a basis and in general was supported by 325 people’s deputies.
The country’s budget has never been changed by UAH 537 billion. simultaneously. 518 billion – for security and defense, 19 billion – for the Reserve Fund, – said the deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The law provides for an increase in state budget expenditures by UAH 537.2 billion. Of these, UAH 518 billion is directed to the needs of the military: for monetary allowance, food, production and purchase of UAVs.
According to the annexes to the bill, additional funds will be received by:
- Ministry of Defense – in the amount of UAH 372.5 billion, primarily for ensuring the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, training personnel and troops;
- Ministry of Internal Affairs – in the amount of UAH 98.4 billion, which are distributed among the State Border Service, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service and the National Police;
- State Special Communications Service – in the amount of UAH 31.6 billion, primarily for “providing special machinery and equipment”;
- Security Service in the amount of UAH 9.3 billion;
- Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Moscow Region in the amount of UAH 4.6 billion;
- The Department of State Protection, which will receive 961.9 million hryvnia. for the protection of public authorities and officials;
- Foreign Intelligence Service in the amount of UAH 807 million;
- National Anti-Corruption Bureau in the amount of UAH 50.6 million.
UAH 19 billion is also directed to replenish the reserve fund of the state budget, which is used for unforeseen and urgent measures.
