A policeman from Krivoy Rog was “given” by his brother more than 2 million hryvnias, and a deputy from the Vinnytsia region was “given” 1.8 million hryvnias for a car by his wife with a modest income.
During the surveillance, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption found more than UAH 2 million to a policeman from Krivoy Rog, allegedly given to him by his brother, and a car worth UAH 2 million to a deputy of village council in Vinnytsia region. This was reported by the NAPC press service.
“During the next monitoring, agency employees discovered that one of the policemen from Kryvyi Rih was given more than 2 million hryvnias by his brother, even though he had no official income that could allow him to make such a wonderful gift. But he has debts of more than a million”, – said the message.
In addition, NAPC learned that a representative of Dashevo village council of Gaisinsky district of Vinnytsia region bought a 2020 Audi Q8 for UAH 2 million.
“The local deputy explained that her husband gave UAH 1.8 million. But her official income from 1998 to 2012 amounted to only UAH 83 thousand. In the first and second quarters of 2020, the husband received an income of about UAH 10 thousand. There are no official savings of the couple,” said NAPC.
It is reported that if the court recognizes the unfoundedness of the assets, the country’s budget will receive more than 4 million Hryvnias.
