Prigozhin wrote that he had information about the plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch a large-scale offensive and deliver a flank cut-off strike to cut off Wagner PMC units from the main forces of the RF Armed Forces.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner PMC militants, told the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu about the plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to conduct a large-scale offensive in the Bakhmut area and asked for help. This is confirmed by a letter published on social networks by Prigozhin to Shoigu.
Prigozhin wrote that he had information about the plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch a large-scale offensive and deliver a flank dissecting strike to cut off the Wagner PMC units from the main forces of the RF Armed Forces, and asked to “take all necessary measures” to avoid this, otherwise “it will lead to negative consequences for SVO”.
Prigozhin also wrote that the closed attachment to the letter contained details of the “enemy’s plan” and “a countermeasure”, and also boasted that Wagner’s units allegedly “controlled about 70% of Bakhmut ” and continue the “offensive” for his complete “liberation”.

It was previously reported that PMC Wagner wanted to recruit 30,000 militants by May.
