USA This Monday, he assured that there is a “serious problem of impunity” in the face of the abuses committed by the National Police during the protests against the government of Dina Boluarte, which began in December last year. This was stated by the State Department in its annual report on human rights.

The report also highlights that during this period of social unrest, journalistic associations in the country denounced the increase in aggression and intimidation of press workers covering the events.

The document claims that during 2022 there were 303 attacks on journalists, the highest number since 2005, according to data National Association of Journalists of Peru.
