The corresponding memorandum was signed by the head of the State Agency, Mustafa Nayem, and the director of NABU, Semyon Krivonos.
The State Agency for Reconstruction and Development and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of preventing and fighting corruption. This was reported by the press service of the State Agency on Monday, March 20.
The document was signed by the head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development, Mustafa Nayem, and the director of NABU, Semyon Krivonos.
The memorandum provides:
• coordination and cooperation in the field of preventing and fighting corruption;
• development of internal control mechanisms to prevent bribery and other corruption violations in the agency;
• ensuring unhindered access to the agency’s building for NABU employees with the presentation of an official ID and familiarization with documents and other material media for the prevention and investigation of offenses attributed to NABU’s jurisdictional law.
“The NABU memorandum is not just a formal cooperation document. The document indicates an unprecedented level of trust and cooperation. In fact, the memorandum gives the employees of the National Bureau full access to all agency documents,” the head of the State Agency, Nayem, emphasized.
Krivonos expressed confidence that the memorandum will facilitate effective data exchange and help promptly respond to any attempts to misuse funds.
It will be recalled that on March 6, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Semyon Krivonos, who headed the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning, as director of NABU. On March 16, Krivonos met with the ambassadors of the G7 countries and the European Union.
