The court of Ukraine has arrested all the property of former President Viktor Yanukovych’s head of security hiding in Russia.
Attachment was imposed on property worth UAH 50 million. The court decision concerns an elite hotel complex in Bukovel with a total area of more than 1.2 thousand square meters. m, apartments in the central district of Kyiv with a total area of more than 200 sq. m, two parking spaces in the capital and five land plots with a total area of more than 1 ha, located in the capital region, as well as in Yalta and Ivano-Frankivsk region. This was reported in the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
In the Kiev apartment of the person involved during the searches, 13 weapons were found and seized, including collectible ones, more than 5.6 thousand rounds of ammunition, mobile phones, computers, documents and draft notes with evidence of illegal activity.
Currently, the special service is checking the involvement of the head of the Yanukovych security service in financing the Russian occupation groups in the war against Ukraine. The investigation continues within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 110-2 (financing of actions committed with the aim of forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power, changing the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code.
Recall that in January the court arrested the property of the former Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Tabachnik, suspected of treason. The total amount of seized assets is more than 2 million dollars. This is, first of all, real estate, land and money in foreign currency.
