Latvia bans 35 Russian citizens from entering the country

The list includes the former ambassador of the “LPR” in the Russian Federation, singers, actors, political scientists, journalists. They will be banned from entering Latvia indefinitely.

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics on Friday, March 17, decided to include 35 citizens of the Russian Federation in the sanctions list who supported Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia.

It was noted that these people will be banned from entering Latvia for an indefinite period.

The list includes former “LPR” ambassador to the Russian Federation Rodion Melnik, singers Yaroslav Dronov, Akim Apachov, Natalya Kachura, Nadezhda Babkina, actors Polina Agureeva, Stanislav Starovoitov, political scientists who Gevorg Mirzayan, Rostislav Ishchenko, journalists Mikhail Shakh. Yulia Vityazeva.

Recall that the EU has confirmed personal sanctions against Russia.

It was also reported that the Russian Federation imposed sanctions against 144 citizens of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
