The mechanized division of the Polish Army, located near the border with the Kaliningrad region, will receive American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems by the end of 2023.
This was reported on March 17 by Portal Samorządowy, citing Polish Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak.
The minister recalled that the Polish authorities ordered HIMARS RZSO back in 2019, and in total, as part of this application, the United States intends to supply 500 such systems to Poland.
In addition, Blaszczak reported that the 16th Mechanized Division had already been reinforced with Korean K2 Black Panther tanks and K9 Thunder self-propelled artillery mounts. Portal Samorządowy specifies that the first cars arrived in the country in December 2022.

Recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using the American RSO HIMARS in the war against Muscovy. In early September 2022, the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, noted the effectiveness with which the Ukrainian military is using these systems.
In the first months after the US began supplying HIMARS to the Ukrainian army, the Russian Defense Ministry regularly reported on the destruction of these systems. The military leadership of Ukraine called such messages “fake”.
