They have now sent their delegation to the Ministry of Defense, Foreign Intelligence Services, other departments and ministries to get as much ammunition and other weapons for themselves as possible,” said Skibitsky.
According to him, Iran remains Russia’s main military partner, providing it with ammunition and drones. The matter has not yet arrived at the supply of ballistic missiles. In response, Iran is awaiting the latest weapons, nuclear energy technology and missile programs from Russia.
As for Syria, Skibitsky said that the regime of Bashar al-Assad depends on Russia, because a Russian contingent is stationed in the country.
“What can Syria give in return? There has been a lot of information that they could be Syrian mercenaries, in large numbers. So far, we have not noticed the confirmation, and moreover, the presence of thousands of Syrians in the territory of the temporarily occupied regions of our state,” said Skibitsky. and confirmed that Russia is withdrawing weapons from Syria that it previously provided.
Earlier, the media reported that Russia was sending samples of US and NATO weapons seized in Ukraine to Iran for copying. The Iranians are highly experienced in developing weapons systems based on US equipment acquired in the past.
