Relocators are actively opening businesses. Last year, about 2.5 thousand legal entities with Russian participants were registered in the country.
About 110,000 Russians left for Armenia last year. This was stated by the Minister of Economy of the country Vagan Kerobyan in an interview with the newspaper Vedomosti, published on March 16.
“The net relocation for 2022 is about 108,000-110,000 citizens. That means a lot of Russians came to Armenia and stayed for permanent residence,” he specified.
The head of the Ministry of Economy also added that last year about 2.5 thousand legal entities with participants in Russia were opened, not counting 4 thousand businesses registered in the form of individual entrepreneurs.
On average, Russians open 500 businesses of various sizes every year in Armenia. According to Kerobyan, the relocation of Russian citizens provided more than 3 pp growth of the country’s GDP.
Earlier it was reported that after the announcement of mobilization in the Russian Federation, more than 200 thousand Russians fled to Kazakhstan.
