Danish authorities fulfilled Ukraine’s “very specific” request, the country’s Ministry of Defense explained.
Denmark has prepared a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth 1 billion Danish kroner (more than $140 million – ed.). This was announced by the Danish Ministry of Defense.
This package includes ammunition for small arms, heavy machine guns, anti-tank mines, air defense missiles and other items. It is financed from a newly created fund.
“I am very happy that the majority of the Danish parliament came together to help Ukraine in the fight for independence… Ukraine is short on ammunition, so the donation package contains materials that have been specifically requested of Ukraine. I am proud that we are in Denmark can fulfill this desire “, – said the country’s acting Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen.
The new military aid package for Ukraine includes:

cartridges for 5.56 mm pistols;

heavy machine guns of 12.7 mm caliber;

a large number of anti-tank mines;

flame arresters and incendiary tubes for 155 mm artillery shells;

air defense missiles;

21 bomb disposal robots;

15 military generators;

8,000 hats and 15,000 waterproof clothing;

six hangar tents;

nine mobile workshops for the repair of heavy military equipment.
Also, the Danish Ministry of Defense noted that they previously provided aid to Ukraine for 5 billion crowns (more than $ 700 million)
Earlier on Wednesday, it became known that the Danish government and Parliament agreed to create a fund in the amount of 7 billion kroner ($1 billion). These funds will go to civilian, military and economic aid to Ukraine.
And in February, it became known that Denmark had donated all of its Caesar self-propelled guns to Ukraine. We are talking about 19 howitzers.
