Russia has announced the possibility of extending the agreement by 60 days, but Turkey is working to extend the “deal” by 120 days.
Turkey is trying to extend the Black Sea Grain Initiative by 120 days, and not by 60, as stated in the Russian Federation. This was announced by Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, reports TRT Haber.
“Until yesterday, many ships were delivering grains and other food. We are talking about more than 24 million tons of food… Continuity is really important. We will continue our negotiations for 120 days instead of two months. The parties will review, Russia and Ukraine will decide. The United Nations has the same view as us. I hope we will try to resolve this positively in the coming days,” said the minister.
Earlier it was reported that Turkey is continuing negotiations to extend the “grain deal”
