The aggressor country Russia has expanded the list of goods for parallel imports, which are actually contraband. This was written by the Russian media in connection with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation on Wednesday, March 15.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has revised the list of goods that are not subject to the requirements for the protection of intellectual rights of the right holders (patent holders), put into circulation outside of territory of the Russian Federation,” the report said.
So, now it is possible to import Citroen, Dacia, Ford, Genesis, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Opel, Peugeot, Renault cars and trucks into Russia without the permission of the copyright owner.
In addition, the list was expanded by a number of brands of motor oils – Shell Helix, Rimula, household goods – Zanussi, Wahl, cosmetics and perfumes – Kerastase, Yves Saint Laurent, toys and children’s products – Hasbro, Logitech, Nintendo, spare parts for agricultural and marine equipment brands Caterpillar, Bauer Kompressoren.
Recall that in May 2022, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade approved an extensive list of goods that can be imported into the Russian Federation without the permission of copyright holders. These include perfumes, clothing and shoes, watches, furniture, paper, miscellaneous equipment, transportation, electronics, metals, and fuel.
The list includes products of many brands, in particular: Apple and Samsung equipment, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Renault, Tesla, Toyota and others.
At the end of June 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin legalized this smuggling on a national scale.
