The WSJ publication says that the mood among the Ukrainian military has allegedly worsened due to the loss of the most combatants on the battlefield.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov commented on the material published the previous day in the American edition of The Washington Post. He emphasized that the stated theses “do not correspond to the truth from the word.” On Tuesday, March 14, he said on the air of the All-Ukrainian telethon.
In particular, the WSJ publication, to which Danilov responded, claims that the mood of the Ukrainian troops allegedly worsened due to the loss of experienced fighters on the battlefield, and this “caused some Ukrainian officials question Kiev’s readiness for the long-awaited spring offensive. .”
The material also cites estimates by unnamed American and European officials about the losses of Ukrainian forces – allegedly up to 120,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed and wounded, while Russia lost around 200,000 soldiers.
Danilov recalled that pessimism was inherent only in the Western press, which, at the beginning of the war, recorded Ukraine as a loser. However, he agreed that the situation ahead is really difficult.
“For more than a year we have been at war against a large country – the territory is large, but not in mind. We understand that it will be difficult for us, we have understood it from the beginning. We are grateful to our partners with their support , but now the situation in the territory of our country is shaken by the provision information that does not correspond to the truth is not a very good thing,” Danilov emphasized.
Earlier, Danilov pointed out a dangerous trend among Ukrainians.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council also said that the surroundings of Bakhmut are full of corpses of the Russian invaders, which no one is removing.
