Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren said that international allies are debating the type of aircraft that should be provided to Ukraine to strengthen air defense. He said this at a press conference in Ukraine on March 14.
According to Ollongren, the partners are debating to find the best air defense platform.
“We have to think about air defense now and in the future. It should be a balanced decision by the allies … And this discussion is in process, like most issues. It is better to have this debate behind of closed doors and this is the phase we are in now” – said the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands.
Recall that Ukraine asked the Netherlands to transfer F-16 fighter jets.
As reported, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov is confident that Ukraine will receive fighter jets from Western countries. According to him, there will be several types of combat aircraft and one of them will be the main one for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
