Zaluzny called the strategic defense of Bakhmut

The defense of the city of Bakhmut is the key to the stability of the defense of the entire front, stressed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The defensive operation in the direction of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region is of great strategic importance for deterring Russian aggressors. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny on Telegram on Tuesday, March 14.

“I respect the strength, courage and steadfastness of our soldiers in Bakhmut. A defensive operation in this direction is of the greatest strategic importance for stopping the enemy. It is key to the stability of the defense of the entire front,” he said.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also thanked every defender and defender who gave a worthy rebuff to the invaders and brought the victory of Ukraine closer.

Recall that today President Volodymyr Zelensky held a regular meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on the situation at the front, including in Bakhmut. As a result, all members of the Stavka supported the further defense of this city.
