“Ukroboronprom” began to produce 125-mm shells for a tank gun.
This was announced today, March 14, by the press service of the department.
This is the second ammunition, the production of which was launched by Ukroboronprom enterprises in close partnership with a NATO country abroad.
By order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the first batch of 125-mm shells for T-64, T-72 and T-80 tanks has already been delivered, with which the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine beat the occupiers.
For the first time since independence, Ukraine launched its own production of such ammunition:
- mortar mines 82 mm and 120 mm;
- artillery rounds 122 mm and 152 mm;
- and now a 125 mm tank shell.
For security reasons, production has been moved outside the country, but our people are involved in the creation of ammunition: designers, technologists, turners, foundry workers, etc., – they add in Ukroboronprom.
