The additional half a trillion hryvnias, which they intend to allocate for the defense of Ukraine, will be used to pay for the military, drones and so on. This was announced on Monday, March 13, by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
“The government approved and proposes to the Rada to approve changes to the state budget, more than half a trillion hryvnias for defense, in addition.
All funds will be directed to the financial support of our military, to support our state defense sector, to defense equipment, including drones,” the president said.
It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers supported a bill to increase spending from the state budget by 537 billion hryvnias, almost all for defense.
Of these funds, the government proposes to allocate more than 518 billion hryvnias to the security and defense sector and increase the reserve fund by another 19 billion.
Earlier, the president said that the coming weeks are planned to be active in terms of international communication.
