The Russian mobilized military continues to file complaints against dictator Vladimir Putin.

Russian mobilized or their wives and mothers turned to Vladimir Putin and asked to take the military from the front – a familiar picture for Russia. They ask to be removed from the presence of the one who sent them to the presence. At the same time, as a rule, the mobilized and their relatives do not oppose the war, as such, against the attack on Ukraine, but only complain about poor uniforms, weapons and command errors. Recently, such appeals have increased manifold, in fact, as well as losses of the Russian army in Ukraine.

Mass complaints

In recent weeks, three groups of activists from different regions of Russia have recorded video messages with complaints about what is happening.

The servicemen’s claims are repeated from video to video: they have to fight with weapons from World War II, the military has no aerial reconnaissance equipment, and before being sent on a attack, they are not given any written orders about it. So after the death of the military, none of the officers will be responsible for it, the military said in the video. How they imagine giving a written order to attack – the participants in the video message did not specify.

In most of the videos, their faces are hidden or unrecognizable due to the darkness. They and their relatives usually avoid communication with journalists.

The authorities usually solve the problems in the same way – first they deny that the maneuvers are being used as attack aircraft, then they withdraw the complainers from the front line.

“We, mobilized from the regions of Kaliningrad, Murmansk and Arkhangelsk, appealed to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Putin VV on the issue that we were not given a specific strategy and tactics. They sent us on the attack. No communication with the unit commanders. No fire support. No funds for night and day surveillance. No armored vehicles. No artillery preparation, “- another such appeal of mobilized appeared on telegram channels on March 7.

Most of all, those mobilized complain about orders to attack Ukrainian positions, after which the ranks of Russian units, as a rule, are greatly thinned.

From the beginning of 2023, reports of the deaths of mobilized people often came from the Avdeevsky and Ugoldarsky sectors of the front. From the first days of the invasion, Russian troops tried to move the front line away from Donetsk in these areas, but so far they have not succeeded in this.

Frontal attacks by Russian units on Ukrainian fortified areas, which have been built for eight years, are expected to lead to high losses for the attackers. In the spring and summer of 2022, mobilized fighters of the self-proclaimed “DPR” and “LPR” were killed in large numbers in these sectors of the front. When the offensive potential of these units was exhausted, they began to be replaced – first by regular Russian soldiers, then by volunteers, and then by those mobilized under Putin’s decree in September.

In the past four months, about 70% of all obituaries of Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine were accompanied by photos of people in ordinary clothes, and not in military uniform. This may be indirect evidence of growing losses among those who were until recently civilian specialists.
