The Kremlin has reacted to the possible renaming of Russia to Muscovy

Peskov considered Zelensky’s order to change Russia’s name to Muscovy as a “ridiculous curiosity”.

The Kremlin called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s instruction to resolve the issue of renaming Russia to Muscovy a “ridiculous curiosity”, Russian media reported.

“You know, it is probably related to such ridiculous curiosities as messages or similar decisions,” – said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, noting that it “should be treated with a smile .”

According to him, “there are so many jokes about it, I don’t think there’s any need to make new jokes.”

“The Russian Federation, no matter what anyone calls it, will remain a great power, a great country, and it will remain Russia,” Peskov stressed.

We remind, earlier the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the petition, proposing to officially change the name of Russia to Muscovy.
