European sanctions against the Russian Federation for the war against Ukraine have been extended.
The corresponding decision was made in the European Union. Personal restrictions imposed against almost 1,437 individuals and 205 legal entities have been extended for six months. The sanctions include asset freezes and entry bans. Radio Liberty correspondent Rikard Jozwiak reported this on March 13.
According to his formation, despite some speculation, no one was excluded from the list. At least it didn’t happen now.
Recall, on February 24, the European Union introduced the tenth package of sanctions against Russia because of its invasion of Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the sanctions are aimed at the Russian military industry, propaganda and the financial system.
And on March 7, the EU imposed sanctions on nine Russian citizens and three organizations for committing serious human rights violations and abuses, including sexual and gender-based violence in Ukraine.
