Russian special services plan to destabilize the situation in Moldova.
The aggressor country of the Russian Federation organized mass protests in Chisinau against the authorities. With the support of Moscow, in particular, a rally was held on Sunday, February 12. This was stated by the head of the Moldovan police, Viorel Cerneuteanu, according to NewsMaker.
According to him, the security officer was discovered by a Russian who arrived in Chisinau on March 9. He was supposed to teach people who intended to destabilize the situation in Moldova. A Russian citizen was contacted by an undercover agent who was introduced to this group.
The head of police added that the organizers of future riots formed 10 groups of 10 people, who were trained for actions. All their actions were coordinated with Moscow. People recruited for the protests were promised $10,000 each. Yesterday, seven of them were detained by law enforcement officers.
Also today, two people were detained in Chisinau, who, with brass knuckles and gas cartridges, went to a pro-Russian protest organized by supporters of the Shor party. The men were taken to the police station for questioning.
Also, the Moldovan police reported that on March 12 a call came with a message that a bomb had allegedly been planted at the Chisinau airport. Airport staff and passengers were evacuated from the building.
There have already been four erroneous calls about bombs in Chisinau today. Law enforcement officers recalled that in 2022 there were 38 false reports of bombs at the Chisinau airport.
Recall that in February, Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean said that the Russian Federation plans to seize the airport in Chisinau and overturn its military there.
