Defense Forces aviation and artillery fired 10 strikes on areas of concentration of enemy military personnel and equipment.
Over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 92 attacks by Russian invaders in Donbas, and also destroyed an ammunition depot and two enemy electronic warfare stations. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning summary on Sunday, March 12.
It is indicated that yesterday the enemy launched 12 air and five missile strikes, two of which were against Zaporozhye. The Russians used the S-300 air defense system against a civilian infrastructure facility. As a result, a building was destroyed. No civilians were killed or injured.
In addition, the enemy made 56 attacks from the MLRS. One of them is aimed at the civil infrastructure of the city of Kherson. Two civilians were killed and three others were injured.
The main objective of the Russians in the past day was the attempts to enter the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. To this end, the enemy concentrated its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the direction of Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Miners.
“Thanks to professional and well-coordinated actions, our defenders repelled 92 enemy attacks in the indicated directions,” said the General Staff.
In the Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directions the operating environment remained stable. At the same time, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks in the areas of eight settlements, namely: Krasnaya Zarya, Krasnoe, Ogurtsovo, Kolodeznoye, Krasnoe Pervoe, Novomlynsk and Kamenka of the Kharkov region.
In the direction of Kupyansky and Limansky the enemy maintained its significant military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine in order to prevent the transfer of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in other directions. Also, the invaders unsuccessfully tried to break the defenses of our troops by shelling the areas of 13 settlements on the battle line. In particular, the region of Dvuhletny, Gryanikovka, Masyutovka, Kislovka and Sandy Kharkiv; Novoselovsky, Nevsky, Kuzminy, Belogorovka and Stelmahovka in the Lugansk region, as well as Dibrov, Razdolevka, Spirny and Yagodny in the Donetsk region.
In the direction of Bakhmut the enemy did not stop the offensive operations in the city of Bakhmut. Near the collision line, the enemy opened fire in Vasyukovka, Zheleznyanskoye, Dubovo-Vasilovka, Grigorovka, Bogdanovka, Bakhmut, Ivanovskoye, Konstantinovka, Belaya Gora, Minkovka, Orekhovo-Vasilovka, Aleksandro-Shultino, Zheleznoe and New York regions. In total, 15 settlements in the Bakhmut direction suffered from shelling.
In Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Shakhtyorsky directions the enemy tried an offensive in the direction of the settlements of Kamenka, Severnoye, Pervomayskoye, Nevelskoye, Krasnogorovka and Marinka Donetska. There was no success. 18 settlements were subjected to multiple attacks: Berdichi, Lastochkino, Avdeevka, Vodyane, Krasnogorovka, Georgievka, Bogoyavlenka, Vuhledar, Zolotaya Niva, Alexandropol, Orlovka, Thin, Pervomayskoe, Pobeda, Novomikhailovka, Novomikhailovka region, Novoukrainkasel and Novoukrainkasel .
In the directions of Zaporozhye and Kherson the enemy continued to defend. At the same time, he carried out intensive shelling of settlements, namely: Malinovka, Gulyaipol, Belogorye, Malaya Tokmachka, Novodanilovka, Novoandreevka, Maly Shcherbakov, Olgovsky, Krasnoye, Charivnoye, Tavrichesky, Pridneprovsky, Plavnov, Kamensky; Novopol – Donetsk, as well as Novodmitrovka, Mikhailovka, Dudchan, Zmievka, Happy, Ivanovka, Antonovka, Belozerka, Dneprovsky, Republican, Red Mayak, Novoselka, Odradokamyanka, Olgovka, Tyaginka, Tokarevka, Ponyatovka, Romashkovy and. In total, almost 40 settlements were affected.
Aviation of the Defense Forces in one day delivered six strikes on places of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the Russians. Rockets and artillery units hit four enemy personnel concentration areas, a warehouse and two enemy electronic warfare stations.
On the eve, it was reported that on the day Russia lost 535 of its soldiers were killed and wounded in the direction of Bakhmut. There were 53 combat clashes.
