The NBU reduced the sale of foreign currency from reserves

The National Bank of Ukraine reduced the sale of foreign currency from reserves to the lowest since the beginning of this year.

From March 6 to March 10, 2023, the National Bank bought $2.40 million in the interbank foreign exchange market and sold $280.28 million. The negative balance of interventions reached $277.88 million. This was reported by the NBU.

Thus, the NBU reduced the sale of foreign currency compared to last week, when it sold $282.84 million. The volume of currency sales this week was the lowest since the beginning of the year.

Since the beginning of the year, National Bank has bought $61.30 million in the interbank market and sold $6,028.55 million. The negative balance of interventions reached $5,967.25 million.

Remember, the NBU called the reasons for the improvement in the foreign exchange market.

It was also reported that, based on the results of the annual review, the National Bank updated the list of systemically important banks.
