It was noted that the defender died in the battles near Bakhmut, Donetsk region. At the time of his death, he was 30 years old.
The deceased was from the city of Mingachevir in Azerbaijan. In Ukraine, he lived in Vinnitsa.
It is known that about 20 thousand citizens from 55 countries joined the International Legion under the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the war.
Other active foreign volunteer units in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the battalions named after Khamzat Gelaev, Dzhokhar Dudayev, Sheikh Mansur and the Ministry of Defense of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (formed by anti-Putin and anti-Kadyrov Chechens), the Normandy Brigade (made up of Canadian retired military men), the Canadian-Ukrainian battalion (uniting representatives Ukrainian diaspora in Canada) and many others.
Earlier, two Azerbaijani citizens were killed by Russian shelling in the village of Kleshcheevka in the Donetsk region.
It should be noted that a volunteer from Estonia, Ivo Yurak, who defended Ukraine as part of the Ukrainian International Legion, died in the war in Ukraine.
