India has not joined the US and European sanctions, and the country is seeing a significant revival in trade with Russia.
Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin may take part in a meeting of G20 leaders at a summit in India. On Friday, March 10, writes Bloomberg.
The publication clarified that the Kremlin is planning its participation in the summit, although a final decision has not yet been made.
Officials this week pushed back the annual economic forum in Vladivostok, set ahead of the G20 summit, by a week to give Putin room to maneuver.
At the same time, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov did not comment on this information, the newspaper wrote.
India formally invited Putin to the G20 summit and the Kremlin agreed. But last year, under pressure from the United States and its allies in the war, Putin abandoned plans to attend a meeting in Indonesia. He also missed the G20 meeting in Rome last year when he was planning an invasion of Ukraine.
Remember, Reuters news agency reported that during the leadership of the G20 India did not want to discuss new sanctions against Russia.
As previously reported, in November of last year, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that Russia cannot be included in the G20 countries, because this group works according to consensus.
