President Volodymyr Zelenskyy implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose sanctions against 120 individuals and 287 legal entities. This Friday, March 10, is following Presidential Decree No. 145/2023.
Restrictive measures were applied to legal entities, including Russian betting companies, lottery organizers, hippodromes, investment and entertainment companies, etc.
In particular, the restrictive measures affected Sportloto, First International Bookmaker Company, Bet.Ru, CreditService, Sportbet, BetCity, Matchbet, Bookmaker Pari, Marathon, “BC “Olimp” and others.
Companies included in the list will have their assets blocked, trading operations prohibited, including capital withdrawal from Ukraine, cancellation or suspension of licenses.
The sanctions list also includes foreign businessmen from the Russian Federation, Great Britain, Cyprus, Turkey, the Netherlands, Poland, and Armenia.
The penalties are designed for 50 years.
Zelensky entrusted Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov with control over the implementation of the sanctions order.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is instructed to inform the competent authorities of the European Union, the United States of America and other states about the application of sanctions and to raise the issue of imposing similar restrictive measures before them.
Remember, on February 25, EU authorities approved the 10th package of sanctions against Russia. The EU includes three major banks in the sanctions package – Tinkoff, Alfa-Bank and Rosbank. Their assets on the territory of EU countries will be frozen, transactions with them will be prohibited, banks will not be connected to SWIFT.
