Orphans were removed in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and they wanted to give them Russian citizenship. In the future, according to the occupying authorities, this will simplify their possibility of adoption in the Russian Federation.

Russian occupiers continue the genocide of Ukrainian children. Russian media say that orphans and children deprived of parental care who are in the so -called “LDNR” will receive Russian citizenship. For this, he allegedly negotiated with the leadership of the occupation administrations. This was reported by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova in the Telegram.

According to Denisova, granting Russian citizenship to children from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions will make it easier for them to adopt in Russia. The authorities of the Russian Federation have repeatedly reported on the preparation of amendments to the law for this purpose.

“Agreements are being prepared between the occupying country and the occupying administrations in ORDLO to give the appearance of“ legal procedures ”for the actual abduction of Ukrainian children and their transfer to families in Russia. Currently, more than two thousand orphans and children, deprived of parental care from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, “wrote Lyudmila Denisova.

He also noted that the occupying country of the Russian Federation grossly violates the standards of Article 49 of the Geneva Convention for the Protection of the Civilian Population in Time of War, which prohibits the forced resettlement or deportation of persons from the occupied territory.

“The forced transfer of children from one national group to another contains signs of genocide in accordance with Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. I appeal to the UN Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights Violations during the Russian military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of violations of Russia’s rights in Ukraine, “wrote the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights.

Recall that Lyudmila Denisova previously said that more than 1 million Ukrainian citizens were illegally brought into the territory of the Russian Federation. Citizens of Ukraine who have been “filtered” into “filtration camps” created by the Russian Federation in temporarily occupied territories will be subject to forced deportation.

Also, Lyudmila Denisova published a video with a resident of the Kherson region, being bullied by the Russian military.
