After the end of the war in Ukraine, the relations between the Russian Federation and Europe may not be restored, and Hungary will have to adapt to this, believes the Hungarian Prime Minister.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has admitted that his country may need to reconsider its relationship with the Russian Federation in the future. Orban said this at the economic forum in Budapest, writes Bloomberg.
Prime minister Verger noted that maintaining relations with Moscow is in Budapest’s interest – primarily in terms of energy, but after the war in Ukraine, relations between the Russian Federation and Europe may not be restored, and Hungary has to adapt to it.
“I understand the need to restore Russian-European relations after the war, but this is far from realistic. That is why Hungary’s foreign and economic policy should think carefully about what kind of relations that we can establish and maintain in Russia for the next 10-15 years,” he explained. Orban.
It can be recalled that the Hungarian Foreign Ministry announced the preparation of Orban’s visit to Kyiv
