On March 16, Russian soldiers shot two unarmed civilians in cold blood as they retreated from clashes near Kyiv. Video of the murder from surveillance cameras was received by the American television channel CNN.
Journalists identified the victims. It happened in the territory of one of the car dealerships. The video shows how the business owner, along with a 68-year-old security guard who raised their hands, greeted Russian soldiers at the gate and handed them cigarettes. After a brief conversation, the two men returned deep into the territory, but two Russian soldiers suddenly jumped from around the corner and shot them in the back.
One of the men died on the spot, while the other got up, reached the spot and called for help. While the man was bloody, Russian soldiers were engaged in the theft. A car dealership employee died from blood loss, it was not possible to save him.
CNN requested comment from the Russian Defense Ministry, but received no response.
