The European Union military mission will train more than 11,000 Ukrainian troops by the end of March and another 30,000 by the end of the year. This is what EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell said on Wednesday, March 8.
“Our mission is to train more than 11,000 people by the end of March and 30,000 by the end of the year,” he said.
The EU mission will also train crews for tanks to be delivered to Ukraine through NATO.
Recall that the decision to create the EU Military Training Mission for Ukraine was made on October 17, 2022. It should provide training for 15,000 military personnel and is designed for two years.
