Valery Zaluzhny, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, met on March 7 with the Supreme Commander of the NATO Allied Forces in Europe – Commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe, US General Christopher Cavoli.
Today I held a very important meeting for Ukraine. I was glad to see my friends-colleagues… I am grateful to them for a very meaningful and direct conversation. First of all, he informed about the situation on the battlefield. He dwelled in the most detail on the East direction. In particular, about the course of events in Bakhmut. We also discussed the supply of military aid – arms and ammunition – no less carefully. Issues of strengthening air defense, providing long-range weapons remain extremely important, Zaluzny pointed out.
He also met with the Chief of the British Defense Staff, Admiral Tony Radakin, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Raimund Andrzejczak.
In addition, Zaluzhny had the opportunity to talk with the commander of the Ukrainian Security Assistance Group, Lieutenant General Antonio A. Aguto.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted the continuation of the dialogue regarding the training of the Ukrainian military.
