The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) is preparing a petition for a preventive measure in the form of detention for the former chairman of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolev. This was said by the head of the department, Andriy Sinyuk, according to Ukrinform on Tuesday, March 7.
“If the defense side does not provide the prosecutor or the detective with confirmation of depositing bail for the suspect in the amount set by the court, the prosecution will apply to the court to change the measure of detention,” said he. .
Sinyuk said that SAP plans to send a petition to VAKS for the arrest of Kobolev today or tomorrow.
Earlier on Tuesday, it became known that Kobolev did not make bail in the amount of 229.248 million hryvnias. According to the court’s decision, he must deposit these funds before March 6.
Remember, on January 19, Andrei Kobolev was notified of the suspicion of abuse of his official position while securing for himself the payment of bonuses for 229 million hryvnias for the company’s victory in the Stockholm Arbitration with Russian Gazprom. According to the investigation, this amount far exceeds the normatively defined amounts of such payments (UAH 37.48 million).
