The first American Patriot anti-aircraft missile system is already in Ukraine. This statement was made by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak in an interview with the Spanish newspaper La Razon, published on Tuesday, March 7.
“I must emphasize that thanks to the efforts made by Poland, the Patriot batteries or the first Leopard tanks, among other things, arrived in Ukraine. We are not the only main transfer point of aid, but also one of the biggest donors,” he said.
Blaszczak added that since the beginning of the war, Poland has transferred arms to Ukraine for more than 2.2 billion euros.
“I want to emphasize that only our joint actions – the actions of the entire free world – can tip the scales of this unfair conflict on the right side. As for aviation, a decision on the matter that it should be done on a broader level of commonality,” emphasized the Polish minister.
As you know, Ukraine should receive Patriot complexes from the USA, Germany and the Netherlands. The Office of the President announced the time of acceptance of these systems.
Also in Germany, they said that the Ukrainian military very quickly mastered the Patriot air defense system. And German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that around 1,200 fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been trained in Germany in handling different combat systems.
