Any US and South Korean military response to the North Korean launches would be considered a declaration of war.
The sister of the North Korean leader and deputy head of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Kim Ye-jong, said Pyongyang would consider any attempt by the US and South Korean military to interfere with the tests to the missile as a declaration of war. It was reported on March 7 by the Interfax news agency.
“If our test launch of strategic weapons, carried out on the high seas and in a region outside the jurisdiction of the United States, without causing any damage to the security of surrounding countries, is followed by a military reaction , such as blocking. , then it will be a clear declaration of war by the DPRK,” – emphasized Kim Ye-jong.
According to him, the “demonstrative military actions” and expressions of Washington and Seoul reached “unacceptable limits” and created the conditions for Pyongyang’s reaction.
“The United States and South Korea must refrain from words and actions that make the situation worse,” Kim Ye-jong added.
Earlier, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said Pyongyang was fully prepared for any military conflict with the United States.
