Deputies of the State Duma of Russia, who voted for the recognition of the so-called LNR and DNR, will appear before the Ukrainian court.

The Security Service of Ukraine submitted to the court materials on 41 Russian deputies. On February 15, 2022, they supported a resolution to appeal to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin with a request to recognize the “independence” of the regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions occupied by the Russian Federation. This was announced on March 2 by the press center of the SBU.

A week later, the defendants voted for the ratification of the “treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance” between the aggressor country and the terrorist organizations of Donbass.

Investigators have already informed the Russian deputies about the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The indictments have already been sent to court. These citizens of the Russian Federation face up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The special service also published a list of 41 deputies. Among them are Anatoly Wasserman, Alexander Zhukov, Anatoly Karpov and Viktor Dzyuba.

Recall that in February, the court arrested the property and assets of Medvedchuk’s wife Oksana Marchenko in the amount of UAH 5.6 billion. These properties, land, vehicles and assets in 18 companies were used for “explosive activities” against Ukraine.
