Recently, a military “peacekeeping” meeting began in the pro-Russian quasi-entity of the so-called “Transnistrian Republic”. However, this mobilization campaign is not popular with the local population. This was stated by the speaker of the chairman of the Odessa Regional Military Administration Sergei Bratchuk on the air of the telethon.
Recently, a so-called mobilization meeting began there under the guise of peacekeeping, but according to my information, there is no high activity among the residents. They understand how this meeting can end for them,” Bratchuk said.
The speaker of the head of the UVA added that similar mobilization events had already taken place in Pridnestrovie last year in the spring. As a result of the meeting, the heads of the relevant structural law enforcement agencies of Pridnestrovie resigned. Also, according to Bratchuk, many people from Transnistria travel to the Republic of Moldova.
Nobody wants to be cannon fodder, the official summed up.
Bratchuk assured that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready for any provocations from Pridnestrovie and, if necessary, the Ukrainian military will respond concretely and harshly.
Recall that now Russia is arranging tension around Moldova and the unrecognized Transnistria in order to divert attention from the war in Ukraine, as well as to demonstrate at least some kind of “victory” for the Russian people. According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the Russians have a very limited contingent in this region. Therefore, Russia is trying to undermine the situation in Moldova by political means under a “foreign flag”.
