“There are professionals and many Wagner units in the Bakhmut area. The enemy’s losses are very high, many times more than ours. Our soldiers can destroy up to 80% of the terrorists,” said Malyar.
The deputy minister emphasized that the decision to keep Bakhmut was not political, as Russian propaganda suggests, but a military one.
